Welcome to the Camp Frequently Asked
Questions.
What are the camp dates?
Due to popular demand, we are offering camp for three weeks
this year: July 17-21, July 24-28, and, July 31-Aug 4. You
may sign your child up for one, two or all three weeks.
What time is the camp?
Camp runs from 9 am till 4 pm Monday through Friday.
What ages may participate in camp?
Our camp is designed for children ages 7 to 14. Older children
are allowed, but parents are advised that the camp is not designed
with them in mind specifically. Younger children are not permitted.
When do I need to register for camp?
Our deadline for registration and cancellation is June 14.
However, early registration is advised, as we have consistently
filled all available spots in camp prior to our deadlines.
How do I register for camp?
Fill out the registration form. Forms can be picked up at RockQuest
or downloaded. You may mail or fax your form to RockQuest.
Registration is conducted on a first-come first-served basis.
If we have reached our maximum capacity, you will be placed
on a waiting list. After the June 14 registration deadline,
we will send out a complete registration packet to all participants,
which may be returned to RockQuest the first day of camp.
Does my child need to bring a lunch to camp?
Yes. You may send your child with a brown-bag lunch or a lunchbox.
We do not have refrigeration available for lunches.
What kind of activities will my child do?
We will climb for several hours daily at RockQuest. We will
also teach campers rappelling, and allow them to experience
our high ropes course. Finally, we will have daily field trips
which include trips to Sharon Woods park for hiking and playing,
a trip to Sharonville Fossil Park for fossil hunting, and a
rafting trip on the Little Miami River. At the end of the week
we will have a friendly climbing contest with prizes for everyone!
Can I pick my child up early if needed?
Yes, we will return from all field trips by 3 pm. If an earlier
pick up time is necessary, let us know and we will make every
effort to accommodate your needs.
What are your child to counselor ratios?
We strive to provide campers with a fun and safe experience.
For this reason we will have at least an 8:1 camper to counselor
ratio at all times. For some activities this ratio will be
higher. All of our counselors are experienced with RockQuest’s
safety procedures, as well as with our other children’s
programs. At all times, at least one first-aid and CPR trained
counselor will be present.
